Summary Note
Mario reluctantly becomes a hitman to cover his young daughter's medical expenses, and is equal parts exhilarated and disturbed to find this violence feeds a buried desire for vengeance. As Mario takes on more and more of these jobs, his family-life shatters and yet, he's barely even put a dent in the stack of bills. Then he's presented with an offer: one last score that will either pull him out of poverty forever or put a bullet in the back of his skull. A man named Juanca needs help stealing $2 million dollars from a drug cartel. Together, they begin the drive to Mexico. It's a nightmarish journey that will take them to a church in San Antonio where unspeakable horrors are taking place, before they arrive at the headquarters of Don Vazquez, the ruthless head of the cartel. To survive, Mario must navigate a world populated with monsters - some of our world, others very much not.
